Kenny Azama has worked with massive global brands like Nike, Samsung, Apple, Chevrolet, and Coca Cola, but he’s not an ad agency or a top secret marketing mogul.
He’s a professional brand ambassador, “someone who is temporarily hired to represent a brand in a positive light, and provide consumers with a memorable face-to-face experience.”
I think this in an interesting side hustle, and one we haven’t covered on the site before, because as Kenny explains, there are always gigs nearby, they’re fun, and they can actually pay pretty well.
When we caught up, Kenny was in the middle of a cross-country RV tour for a pet care brand, earning $2k a week!
Traveling the country, playing with dogs, and making $8k a month? Um, that sounds pretty cool!
But not every brand ambassador gig requires this kind of full-time commitment, and many can be done on your schedule part-time, nights and weekends.
Kenny is so in love with this income stream he’s actually built an online platform dedicated to helping people learn more about the opportunity.

Thank you for this great article. Something that freelancers need to do is be their own brand ambassador. It can really make a difference in their income stream! The key is to focus on the brand(s) you work with or are trying to create and be open to opportunities.
Hey Robert,
That’s a great point! We actually have been Brand Ambassadors our whole lives as we have been promoting ourselves, our values, our skills, etc. If we become more aware of that fact and apply it more like you suggested, I’m sure many of us would not only see a difference in our income streams but also in our overall lives. Thanks for sharing!
Best,
Kenny
This is interesting. Whenever I think of brand ambassadors, I think of scantily clad sexy women (and men sometimes) who hold up bottles of Herbal Essence.
Thanks for the episode!
Next thing we know you’re going to be cruising the streets of Seoul in your undies :)
Lol! We’re not there… yet!
Not a bad idea, but I could probably work and earn more money as a fake priest, here in Asia.

You gotta get in touch with this guy. He gets at least 100 per hour as a fake priest, saying random Latin biblical shit. This man is amazing.
Haha oh wow! That’s so funny. When we were in Japan my friend who lives there was saying there’s actually a huge demand for “foreign” wedding officiants to do ceremonies in broken-sounding Japanese. Definitely a random side hustle!
I know, right?
I’m going to calling the Hyatt next week and see if they’re accepting priest-resumes for China. I’m sure my community theatre experience will come in handy.
These ceremonies are supposed to be like 10 minutes. It’s perfect.
Keep you posted!
Hey Todd,
You’re not the only one who thinks that Brand Ambassadors are scantily clad sexy women. Fortunately for us who are not, there are plenty of opportunities to promote a brand and make some side hustle or even full-time income from it. If you ever decide to give it a shot, I’d love to hear about your experience! Good luck and let me know if you need any help along the way.
Hi Kenny!
Thank for the reply! You’ve give me a lot of hope. I’ll check out some FB groups like you said!
Thanks for the leads!
where and where to apply for Brand Ambassador?..and how?..

What can a retired couple who has plenty of time do to make some extra income and have fun at the same time.. we are definite people persons an have all the time in the world.
Hi, Kathy
I know of some work you and your husband can do together. You would be helping people in their own homes in taking care of them. You would call a home care agency and the government pays for your services.
I don’t know what you mean by having fun but you can choose the people you want to help.
I do it for myself. It’s a couple of blocks from me. I adore my client and love his storeies.
