Teresa Greenway is a mother of 10 who went from working part-time in a bakery to making $5k a month doing what she loves – baking and teaching others how to bake.

More specifically, she teaches how to bake perfect sourdough bread.

Teresa has built a really cool business around this niche at NorthwestSourdough.com.

In the past couple of years, her main revenue driver has been Udemy courses to the tune of several thousand dollars a month.

The main driving force behind this? It turns out Teresa’s secret weapon is a huge Facebook group of engaged followers, fans, and fellow bakers.

With almost 35,000 members, it’s one of the largest baking groups on Facebook, and Teresa said it all started “by accident” back in 2013.

Since then her business and revenue have grown faster than a loaf of her sourdough bread. Teresa earned $1k in the month she released her first Udemy course in April 2015, and it was a life-changing moment. She went on to earn $20k in her first year, and now consistently brings in $4-5k a month!

That’s one reason why online courses are one of the best side hustles!

Teresa did all of this will little to no promotion or marketing. Tune in to hear how she grew her Facebook group so fast, why she decided to start selling courses on Udemy, and how she also uses YouTube and ebooks to drive traffic to her courses and group.

  1. Teresa is an extremely talented lady whom is capable of teaching how to bake sourdough baked goods from the first step through the final process. She successfully caters to the “beginners” and at the same time to the more “advanced”.
I have purchased most of her Udemy courses as well as her ebooks, and am enjoying them all!!

  2. I have never met her in person, but I’d love to. Her courses have turned my bread into loaves that people request, my husband can’t get enough of, and that I happily share with friends. I am an admin over on her facebook page, and the fellowship of the bakers and their willingness to share ideas, tips, and their extensive knowledge, is incredible. She has truly built an incredible worldwide group of bakers who love their bread!! Way to go Teresa! You deserve every bit of of what you have worked so hard for!!

  3. I have to say that Teresa L Greenway is very helpful, generous and willing to share. I have not registered in any of her Udemy courses but I am able to search for what I wanted to know through her website. She is there to render a helping hand even though I am not her paying student. Many website will say ‘ register’ to get more info! I like her way, sharing her knowledge to all interested, whether paying or not. I really appreciate her help in my journey of baking with sourdough. I was totally new in Sourdough 6 months ago, and now able to bake some descent loaf, haha! Thank you Teresa L Greenway.
