What do you think? Is Fiverr a worthwhile platform on which to set up shop? What kind of experience have you had on the site?
Anarchofighter knows what he’s talking about! I introduced him here as a person that can tell you the way it is, and even though I’m also a top rated seller on fiverr, I’ve learnt a lot from this.
This is essential listening for all buyers and sellers!
Excellent podcast – thank you!
You bet — thanks again for the introduction! I’m excited to do some Fiverr experimenting of my own :)
Thanks Great interview. Lots of great tips to improve selling on fiverr! Will subscribe to the podcast!
Glad you liked it — thanks for stopping by!
Excellent interview, Nick! I posted my first Fiverr gig about two weeks before I heard this podcast. AnarchoFighter provided some great tips for things to try in the future.
Awesome! How’s it going so far?
I thought this was one of the best podcast interviews I have ever heard and trust me I have heard a lot (over 1700 in 2013)
Not because I want to get on fivver, but because of the information. I think a lot of people that want to learn about marketing could get a lot from this interview.
I certainly did and I am still thinking about what I could offer.
Love all the shows and it’s great to have different people on that are not the big shots just doing the rounds.
Eddy, thank you for stopping by and I’ve gotta say, your comment made my day! Thanks so much!
What kind of side hustle are you working on?
I loved this interview. I had no idea it was possible to make this kind of money on Fiverr. Interesting.
Thanks Janet — me neither! Have you set up your first gig yet?
I am interested to see how posting on Fiverr will work for me. Amazon has been a steady source of income, but I would like to see what Fiverr can do. I went ahead and put it out there – https://fiverr.com/angelanewsom/deliver-an-ebook-on-how-to-get-groceries-free
Nice! It gets me fired up to see people taking immediate action — thanks for sharing Angela!
Ahhh I just recently found you in my Stitcher recommended shows, Nick, and what a joy it’s been! And I just wanted to say this episode was great for the tips, the style, and the motivation to get out there and kick some tail. Fiverr really can’t be beat for testing out ideas – gotta give it a shot, folks!
On a side note, I’m ordering stuff on Fiverr all the time and as I just got a gig delivery back, I realized it was from Anarcho… completely by accident as I was looking for copy-reviews. What a surprise and the man does know his stuff!
Thanks again for this episode, Nick, and for introducing us to Anarcho and the path to Fiverr goodness!
Hey Richard, thanks for the kind words! This was a fun one :)
Great place to validate ideas and test out new things. I’ve actually got a pretty detailed case study about my side hustle experiments with Fiverr coming out tomorrow, including how I unexpectedly landed on the homepage and got flooded with orders. Fun stuff!
Thanks again for stopping by and happy you found the show!
What I have always found curious and a little mystifying to me about Fiverr is how to actually get people looking at your particular/specific gigs. I mean, yes, I can sell the gigs to my friends, but beyond that, I have posted a bunch of gigs and only made a few sales…so it would be helpful to hear ways to get your gigs “noticed.”
This is the challenge on Fiverr and Amazon and other marketplaces as well. The first thing to do is to make sure you’re getting all the impressions you can by optimizing your gig title, description, and tags to match what people might be searching for. Once that’s done, an attention-getting cover image can help stand out in the search results — I haven’t tried this myself but I’ve actually heard that attractive women tend to generate more clicks … so if your fiverr account isn’t personally branded to “Joseph”, might be something worth testing out.
That’s almost out of space ;) from $5 to buying a house?
I am listening to all your podcasts backward from present to past and finally got to this one. OMG! What an amazing story. I had no idea fiverr was a legitimate place to start learning to market your stuff. But now it makes total sense. The kindness and clarity of your guest was just awesome and your questions were very helpful.
Hey Zoe, thanks for stopping by! Yes, a year later this is still my most popular episode and really opened my mind to some overlooked platforms. I’ve been on Fiverr about a year now and it’s been a really fun new side hustle!
I have been listening to SHS form the beginning and am currently on 52 plan being caught soon. This was one of the most detailed podcasts to the point of being a manual. Two of the best points was that fiverr starts a 5 dollars and the use of requesting feedback which could be adapted to other activities. I have a couple ideas for fiverr and will have to re-listen.
Oh wow that’s a serious podcast binge! Hopefully the interviews and delivery are improving as you go along … when I listen back to some of the early ones I get kind of embarrassed :)
Just published a new episode on my first year on Fiverr (which I know you’ll get to soon), but it details how I got started, how to brainstorm what you can sell, and my plans to double the Fiverr side hustle:

Thanks so much for listening!
