22: How to Start a 6-Figure Speaking Business, with Jullien Gordon

In Episode 22 of The Side Hustle Show, Jullien Gordon of SideHustla.com gives the detailed story about how he transitioned from employee to entrepreneur and built his speaking business into a 6-figure a year enterprise.

I discovered his site through David Hutcherson from ThePowerofPartTime.tv, another awesome side hustler.

Jullien is a super-smart guy, a talented speaker, and is deliberately shaping his own way in the world. I was really excited to have him on the show, and he’ll definitely get you thinking in this one.

Know what I was most surprised by? He considers himself an introvert. Me too!

Even if you have no interest in public speaking, there are some important takeaways for every side hustler here as it relates to personal branding, pricing strategy, leveraging your time, and more.

  1. I really enjoyed this interview. Speaking in front of people is still a fear of mine. Although I used to teach HTML classes part-time, it was still nerve wracking! I like Jullien’s closing tip. Great advice for anyone who feels hesitant about starting their own side hustle.

  2. Great interview Nick! Jullien’s BPAID course has really helped to propel my SIde Hustle to the next level and I am glad to discover your site as well! If you are interested in a speaking career, Jullien’s advice regarding more videos pays dividends. He gave me this same advice back in August and the videos I have created since then have landed me my first APCA Conference Showcase. Thank you Jullien and Thank you Nick!

    • Hey Bobby, thanks for stopping by and happy to hear you liked the interview. That’s awesome about putting the advice into action and already seeing results. Excited for you!

  3. Listening to this podcast over lunch today- very timely since I’m looking to book more speaking gigs these days. Time for me to get some video on my site!

  4. Impressive young man with lots of great actionable advice. Great interview. I feel a little inadequate as I’ve only just started my online journey
