Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you’re having an amazing holiday with friends and family, and taking a moment to reflect and recharge. Even though it’s an American holiday, the idea behind giving thanks for what we have is universal.
What’s your Turkey Day tradition?
Growing up, it was about mud football in the park, followed by a big family dinner. Kid table for life :)
Since moving to California, we have a new tradition with another couple from my old work who moved here out at the same time. The girls cook up a feast and browse the Black Friday ads while the boys watch football and take care of the dishes. It’s a blast.
This year we have a change in venue (Southern California for the first time) and a new addition to the family (our hosts welcomed a daughter to the world last month).
This is also the first year in a long time I don’t have to worry about the Black Friday / Cyber Monday shoe deals and price updates, stress about server load issues, or get up super early to post offers for East Coast shoppers.
I’m behind the mic solo this week, talking about 6 habits I believe have made me a better entrepreneur, and how you can implement them in your own life.

I see a podcast here… is there a chance I can find it on TuneIn?
Hey Adam, thanks for the note. That’s a good reminder — I submitted to TuneIn a couple months ago but am not seeing the show listed there yet. Just sent them a follow-up.
We’re live on TuneIn now: https://tunein.com/radio/The-Side-Hustle-Show-p667337/
Great episode. I’m going go start the idonethis.com practice- I think the accountability (and the fear of not having anything to write) could help me be better. I like how you tied that into Bjork’s 1% to Infinity concept- pretty amazing what a little bit of consistetcy can do! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks Melissa — a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you too! #makeprogresseveryday :)
Love your show, love listening to it and gleaning encouragement from it. I just wanted to let you know that the Gratitude Journal 365 is “not available in the iTunes US store”. Thanks for all your valuable advice and intuition.
Nuts! Thanks for tuning in and letting me know! (Updated the link — looks like the free version is inactive but the $1.99 version is still live.)
Great episode I’m definitely going to try your OMG tips and set up my own gratitude journal.
Sweet! Let me know how it goes :)
I’m way behind apparently as I just discovered your podcast and LOVE it. This one was one of my favorite for 2 reasons: 1. You made me laugh out loud (while hiking temesca canyonl) when you expressed your own uncertainties and the classic “what’s the next step” question. Is it: “starting a family, owning a home”… Which is something everyone around me talks about and I seem to be the only one talking about growing my business … Might be the age bracket I am in… Anyway. 2. I found most informative when you talked about how build your network (point 5 I believe)… Amazing!!! I very much dislike parties, going from one person to another trying to act like I’m all that… Never done it and hopefully never have to. I like your suggestions! Very easy, very organic, without forcing anyone to be interested in what I do… I love it. Thank you. Keep up the hustle!
Thanks Diane!
